This statement describes DCI Careers’s employment and recruitment commitments.
1. Fair and merit-based employment
DCI Careers (“DCI”) is committed to fair and merit-based employment practices. Recruitment, selection, deployment, training and career opportunities should be based on relevant skills, qualifications, experience, performance, job requirements and organisational needs.
DCI aims to treat applicants and workers fairly and respectfully, regardless of age, nationality, sex, marital status, pregnancy, caregiving responsibilities, race, religion, language ability, disability or mental health condition, subject to applicable law and genuine job requirements.
Inclusive recruitment
We encourage applications from suitably qualified candidates of diverse backgrounds and assess candidates according to their ability to perform the role.
Respectful workplace
DCI supports a professional environment in which workers are treated with dignity, concerns may be raised responsibly and workplace harassment or retaliation is not accepted.
Skills and development
We recognise the importance of continuous learning, skills upgrading and career development throughout an individual’s working life.
Experienced talent
We value the knowledge, reliability, mentoring ability and practical experience that mature and senior workers can contribute to clients and teams.
2. Supporting mature and senior workers
DCI welcomes applications from mature and senior professionals who meet the requirements of available assignments. Age alone should not determine whether a candidate is suitable for a role.
Where practicable and appropriate to the role, DCI supports:
- Job matching based on current competencies, experience and transferable skills.
- Opportunities for experienced workers to contribute through specialist, operational, leadership or mentoring roles.
- Skills upgrading and career conversations that help workers remain employable.
- Reasonable consideration of flexible, part-time or redesigned work arrangements where supported by the client, role and operational requirements.
- Age-friendly work practices that support safe, healthy and sustainable careers.
- Responsible retirement and re-employment practices in accordance with applicable Singapore requirements.
3. Recruitment advertisements and selection
Job advertisements should describe genuine role requirements and avoid unjustified preferences that may exclude suitable candidates. Interviews and assessments should focus on job-related competencies and suitability.
Where a client specifies a requirement that may affect fair consideration, DCI will seek clarification and should not knowingly support an unlawful or unjustified discriminatory hiring requirement.
4. Reasonable workplace arrangements
DCI recognises that workers may have different needs at different stages of life. Requests for flexible arrangements or workplace adjustments will be considered fairly and in good faith, taking into account the nature of the assignment, client requirements, performance, safety, security and operational feasibility.
5. Raising concerns
Applicants and workers may raise concerns about recruitment or workplace treatment without fear of retaliation for making a genuine report. DCI will seek to handle concerns sensitively, objectively and as confidentially as reasonably possible.
6. Review of this commitment
DCI may update this statement as employment laws, tripartite guidance, workforce practices or business requirements change. The latest version will be published on this website.
7. Official recognition status
This policy records DCI Careers’ own workplace and recruitment commitments. It does not represent or imply that DCI Careers has received official Tripartite Standards recognition, certification or endorsement.
DCI will only display an official Tripartite Standards logo or describe itself as an approved adopter after receiving formal approval from the relevant tripartite authority.
